Project

Data-driven content marketing solution

Brief To catalyse debate between insurers, governments, businesses and communities about the impact of 18 catastrophic risks on 301 cities worldwide, drawing on ground-breaking research by Lloyd’s and the Cambridge Centre for Risk Studies

Solution We proposed a smart, digital content marketing solution. At its heart is an intuitive, responsive web portal that distils thousands of raw data points from the research by searchable Location and Threat, and provides an historical framework, with 18 detailed threat case studies. The media reach was remarkable, with worldwide coverage in the press – from BBC Radio 4’s flagship Today programme to the Washington Post. Within five days of the PR launch, the site recorded 32,137 page views, with 10,147 unique users. Social media was a-buzz with good will too: @David_Benyon: ‘The Lloyd’s megacity risk launch today is pretty cool. Slickly presented too.’
